Ganesh
Lord of New Beginnings
Ishtar
Inanna
The Celtic Goddess Brigid is beloved as the muse of poetic inspiration and the mistress of the healing arts. She is also associated with smithcraft, which held special import for the early Celts. The site of her well still exists in Ireland, and its eternal flame is still quietly attended by eighteen maidens. The Catholic Church made her a saint due to her fervent worshippers, who accepted Christ, but could not endorse a religion that excluded her.
(11" wood finished resin)
This glazed earthenware finish was the original holy blue of sacred purity. Initiates into the cult of Isis spoke of seeing her sending out rays of blue light of grace and salvation. Her name comes from Egyptian Ashesh, which means both supporting and pouring out (of milk). Isis is called the Oldest of the Old, who existed from the beginning, the Goddess from whom all beginning arose.

Archetype of All-Wisdom & Beneficence. The deity of good fortune, new ventures, wisdom and removal of obstacles, his attributes are shell, discus, club and water lily, held in each of his four hands, and his vehicle is a rat. Huge yet gentle, humble enough to ride upon the insignificant rat, his figure in its totality represents the indivisible universe. Lotuses at his feet magnify Ganesh's fertility.

"The whole universe is created by Kali," says the Shiva Purana. In this pure black Bangladesh image, her luxuriantly flowing hair and outstretched arms reveal her power over Time, while quiet-gazing Shiva supports her. Kali's garland of demon heads represents both her detachment from the world and her inner nature of deep compassion. Her fierce wisdom slays ignorance, giving bloom to flowers of hope and healing.

Here the energy of four prominent Goddesses are joined in a sacred circle: Hindu Kali, the powerful healing mother; Inanna, the Sumerian fertility goddess; Diana, wild Greek goddess of forest and field; and Isis, the Great Queen of Egyptian civilization. They dance around a sacred water jug, which may also be used as a candleholder.

Ishtar signifies Good Omens and Prosperity.
In Babylonian culture, Ishtar was known as "she who endowed the king with prestige." Thought to engage in periodic ritual sacrifice of their kings, Ishtar's priestesses were credited with bringing forth a bountiful harvest with his blood. This Lady can bless your life with prosperity.

Archangel Gabriel
The Messenger
Archangel Gabriel is part of our radiantly powerful quartet of Archangels. The Archangels are central to many esoteric traditions, serving as spiritual guardians and harbingers of the four directions. Each of these angels' names and colors has special meaning. When our British friend, the Pagan artist Billie John, asked for inspiration in the design of the Archangels, she received guidance to depict Uriel and Gabriel as female. Gabriel's name means "Strong One" or "Messenger of God." Her color is blue, her element is water, and her direction is west.

Labrys/Dictynna
Sweet Blessing Maiden
Labrys Goddess of Crete, Dictynna, dances into our universe. Dressed in nets, She is neither naked nor clad, and lines of force surround Her. Double axes, or labryses, exclaim her active Feminine Energy. Worshippers, in the original palace fresco, throw their arms up in amazement at her appearance. The labrys is also a symbol of the female community of Lesbos who worshipped only the Goddess in nature and in each other. The original "She who must be obeyed," Dictynna lived on top of Mount Dicta. Her powerful name lives on in our words "dictate" and "edict."

Laxshmi
Good Fortune
Sri Laxshmi is the Goddess of Abundance and Prosperity. Depicted seated upon or holding the lotus, symbol of spiritual purity, fertility and vegetative growth, the goddess Sri (Laxshmi) is venerated, like Ganesh, for her auspicious nature. She carries a coffer, and gold coins shower from her hand, and she represents the supreme divine principle which pervades all creation with vitality and consciousness. Actively venerated by nearly 1 billion Hindus, Laxshmi is the modern face of the ancient Great Mother Goddess; stalks of grain surrounding her head connote a rich harvest.

Satyr Herne
God of the Wild
The Satyr Herne. His secure, solid, and sexual presence reflects qualities of beingness common to vegetative and animal life forms unburdened by the human quest for rationality. Satyros Priapus
Liberator of Sensual Inhibitions
From 550 BCE onwards, his libidinous form on vases and amphoras accompanies most depictions of Dionysos and his maenads. Wildly dancing, hugely endowed, satyrs were shown with horse's tail and hoof, sometimes garbed as female, often engaged in pranks or contorted sexual coupling with each other, with men or with women. The Satyros persona was adapted by costumed men during annual vintage rites of Dionysos and gave license for bacchanalian revelry and ceremonial stage dancing, out of which developed the Greek chorus as well as the genres of comedy and tragedy. As the emotional and sexual core of the ancient agrarian religion became repressed by rationality and patriarchy, Satyros energy created an erotic rebalancing. Celebrations such as Fasching, Carnival or Mardi Gras are modern expressions of Satyros' wild legacy. Ithyphallic image.

Shiva-Nataraj
The Dancer of Creation
Here the androgynous Lord of both joy and sorrow dances the great continuing cycle which symbolizes life's ebb and flow, the intricate balance between form and void. Surrounded by a whirling flame of cosmic energy, Nataraj tramples upon the demon of spiritual ignorance. In upper right hand is held a small twirling drum which hums the rhythm of creation; in upper left hand is a ball of flame connoting the corollary act of destruction. The lower right hand gestures "Do not be afraid," while the lower left points the way out of neurotic bondage, toward the foot raised in freedom above ignorance.

This is Gaia, Mother Earth in all her raw and fertile splendor. Great-breasted nurturer, great-bellied giver of life, she was dubbed the Venus of Willendorf by archeologists who discovered her near that locale in Austria. Noteworthy are her impersonal, featureless face, the dynamism of her curling hair, the profoundly regal sureness of her posture. Dated to 30,000 BCE, she is both the earliest depiction of the human form and was the first known religious image of the Mother Goddess up until the recent discovery of the Acheulian Goddess.
